Starting in 2020, I carved out a role focusing exclusively on VR and immersive POV adult content, primarily from Japanese and European producers. This niche requires different review criteria: tracking technical specs like resolution (4K, 5K, 7K), field of view, 3D depth accuracy, and camera positioning. I cover studios like S1 and IdeaPocket for their VR divisions, as well as independent European VR filmmakers. Monthly, I assess about 90-120 titles, a lower count due to the longer review time needed for proper headset testing. My background is in video editing and technical taxonomy; I developed our current VR tagging system for actor perspective, scene type, and interactivity level. I note which titles are simple POV conversions versus native VR productions designed for immersion. A big part of my work is comparing regional releases, as European VR often has different censorship and editing styles compared to Japanese. I also track hardware compatibility issues and performance quirms across different VR platforms. I compile lists of the most technically proficient releases each quarter, focusing on visual clarity and immersive sound design. It's a technical deep-dive, providing fans with the specs and quality assessments they need before making large file downloads.
