I joined the editorial team in 2018 to cover the Southern European producers — the Italian and Spanish studios that rarely get subtitled and almost never get reviewed in English. I grew up bilingual, so half my week is translation and the other half is persuading distributors to let us license screenshots of films they had forgotten they owned. My white whale is a complete filmography of the Rome-based labels of the early 2000s; the catalog's retrospective section is about a third of the way there.
